TOP 4 VEGAN FRIENDLY TRAVEL EXPERIENCES TO HAVE IN 2015

Adventure is individual; I'm quite happy to ride motorbikes across continents by myself but a bungee jump, no way, it's not my kind of adventure.

It's important to make your own goals and set your own boundaries when it comes to adventure travel, exploring your comfort zone is good, terrifying yourself is bad and unnecessary.

You'll love at least one of the top four vegan friendly travel adventures to have in 2015, decide which one is for you and get focused, a year of adventure lays ahead.

1. Roasting bananas on a campfire on top of Acatenango volcano in Guatemala

Roasted bananas are amazing, (especially when you sneak some extra dark chocolate inside before you roast them) and after you've hiked through old lava field and high alpine cloud forest to reach camp at 3975m / 12,720ft you'll savour every bite. If this sounds like your adventure then read on here.

Sharing Porra in Spain

Tapas are wonderful, Porra is even better. Traditionally Andalusian, this dish, made with fresh ripe tomatoes and generous helpings of olive oil and garlic is somewhere between being a soup and a sauce. With the Porra served in the middle of the plate, you choose between berenjena fritz  fried aubergine, pimientos asados, roasted peppers and crusty bread to dip into it, culinary adventures are most often best when shared.

Action for animals at lake Atitlan

Flanked by three volcanos, lake Atitlan is an outdoor adventures paradise, whilst you're hiking, biking or fresh water diving you can also visit and support the local animal welfare organisation, if action and animals sounds like your adventure then read on here.

Vegan picnics at the top of the Sierra De La Huma mountain range in Spain

Prepare to be dazzled as you set off up La Huma mountain range, along the route are stunning views of the valley and surrounding areas and as you reach the top you’ll be able to see for miles in every direction, totally worth the effort. As you sit at the top enjoying your vegan picnic you'll notice how the steep mountain ranges of the area contrast beautifully with the flat planes of olive groves and citrus farms, is this your adventure?
